Spend money to save money - part 9

Coffee seems to be a norm in most homes.  I have a simple solution that may increase the taste and lower your cost.  First of all, if you are buying your cup of joe at a coffee house, be aware that making it at home can be just as good, if not better, and certainly less money.  Let me suggest something you may have not heard of before.  There is a devise that does not require electricity or filters.  It is called a French Press.  You may spend $20 to $40 but that cost is your last outlay except for the coffee beans themselves.  I would suggest a stainless steal variety over a glass one as glass can easily break.  Here is how it works:  Place the ground beans at the bottom of the press, add boiling water, wait five minutes, push down the material, and pour.  I think you will like it and going this way can cut your food bill.
